Desert Safari Experience in Dubai

Since I had to spend 15 days in Dubai and I had a limited budget. For this, I did research and found the affordable tour operator “Happy Desert Safari”. Their business link I have shared at the start, so if you’re planning to travel to Dubai, must try their best quality services at discounted rates. So along with me, my three friends came too. We made our first desert safari trip booking 24 hours in advance. Where the confirmation email was received in an hour.

1. Pick Up & Drop Off Service:

Since we were tourists and had no private vehicles we included pick up and drop off service from the doorstep. They addressed us at the pick-up and asked us to get ready 5 minutes earlier. The next day at 2:15 PM, a luxurious Toyota Land Cruise arrived to pick us and after 45 minutes of the ride. We arrived at the campsite location. At first, we started to experience thrilling sand activities on high red Arabian dunes. Which are as follows.

2. Dune Bashing:

Dune bashing is a major attraction and most experiencing sand activity of this tour. It is a roller coaster ride, via Toyota Land Cruiser, Nisan Patrol, Range Rover or any 4X4 vehicle. The vehicle is comprehensively insured, loaded with safety features and driven by licenced professionals. But on the side, it is not suitable for infants, people with back or heart injuries and pregnant women. So 20-25 minutes of dune bashing was included in our package. After 10-15 minutes of waiting, we enjoyed the insane roller coaster ride on high red Arabian dunes with tightened seat belts.

3. Camel Ride:

After the Dune bashing my second experience sand activity was a Camel ride. As in old days, Camels are the mode of transport for Bedouins. To experience the culture and lifestyle of Arabs, this activity is set on this tour. We got to enjoy a big round approx 80-90 seconds around the camp.

4. ATV Quad Bike:

This is the self ride sand activity. Where you need to know some basic things to ride these 3-wheelers. Moreover, the trainers were available onboard, they guide us and provided some basic safety kits. Such as helmets, gloves, knee & Elbow pads etc.

5. Sandboarding:

We enjoyed sandboarding by sliding down the high red Arabian dune at the average or full speed by maintaining our balance. On the other side, the soft sand caught us when we fell from the board.

6. Unlimited Refreshments and Beverages:

When we sat at the bedouin camp, we got free access to have unlimited Arabian coffee, tea, soft drinks and veg snacks.

7. Henna Designing:

We included a short-hand henna design by professionals from the shops at the Bedouin camp.

8. Arabic Costume Photography:

At the camp shop, Arabic dresses were available for ladies and gents. Wo wore them and clicked many pictures and availed me of this free service.

9. Live Entertainment Shows:

There was a separate space for the live entertainment shows at the Bedouin camp. We enjoyed the amazing performances of Belly dance, Tanoura dance and Fire show by the international artists. All six performances by the best performers were mindblowing. Where everyone was cheering, making Instagram reels and photos with the performers. 

10. BBQ Buffet Dinner:

People were enjoying Live BBQ food and a buffet with live entertainment shows. Where the award-winning chefs of the town prepared the BBQ buffet. Besides, the staff organised the vegetarian and non-vegetarian food separately. Including the Asian, Arabian and Continental cuisines. Besides, the staff set the live BBQ Setup outside the Bedouine camp. Where the wide range of salads and desserts were super delicious. The whole desert safari package cost us 99 AED per head. Where we enjoyed these amazing activities and services for free for the duration of 6-hours.

Final Words:

After the Buffet dinner, we took some pictures, shopped for some sand arts to bring home as a memory. Then the staff dropped us back at the hotel safely. Now I will try an overnight desert safari in future.
