My name is Dr. Mariam Majid Clinical Psychologist in Newcastle and I have actually enjoyed more than 20 years. Enjoying working as a psychiatrist within the NHS. In addition. I paint drawings with people to help understand. How their problems might improve and are currently being maintained. And I have found flexible ways to overcome those.
I have experienced a variety of mental disorders and depressive disorders. Including depression, general anxiety, anxiety disorders, social phobia. OCD, direct phobias, panic, PTSD and Complex Trauma, depression and loss.
My common goal is to help people overcome their problems. Alleviate their grief and improve their daily function. So that they can begin to make positive and important changes in their lives.
I am taking an eclectic approach. Which includes one of the kind treatments to provide an extra-bespoke remedy program. With someone at the center who I accept as genuine and brings positive results.
In addition I also have knowledge within the modern forms of CBT and Acceptance and Compassion Therapy (ACT). Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive-Based Procedures to deal with complex situations.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
Prior to becoming a Clinical Psychologist in Newcastle. I worked as a lecturer and researcher at various universities conducting systematic examinations in health interventions and distribution and publishing remedies.
I graduated as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Newcastle in 2004. And progressed to a high school and specialist in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). From the University of Durham in 2010 and an eye doctor of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in 2013.
Both of these are psychological therapies. Based entirely on evidence to address a variety of emotional, behavioral and psychological problems. Such as Trauma and PTSD.
I have actually pursued my professional development and knowledge of how to attend the same schoolwork. And textbooks in order to live up to the highest standards in all medical psychology disciplines. So that I can give a world of art, primarily evidence. Fully based psychological solution for my clients.
I am loving and compassionate within the healing drawings with clients and accept. As a fact that each person has the ability to learn, develop and bring out their own personalities. They wish to improve and try to provide appropriate assistance in achieving this.
